The ECOVINEGOALS project

addresses key challenges arising from intensive viticulture in the ADRION (Adriatic-Ionian) region. Uniting the expertise of 10 partner institutions from Croatia, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia, and 9 associate partners from Italy, Greece, Montenegro and Belgium, the key objective of this project is to develop strategies, action plans, tools and capacities for the agroecological transition of viticultural areas under intensive cultivation to low input and low emission management systems, thereby reconciling the productive, social, environmental and landscape needs of the fragile wine-growing areas in the Adrion region.

Practices

In line with the key object of the project, a list of 29 best practices for the transition from intensive to agroecological viticulture management systems was compiled with the contribution of all project partners.
The practices selected are applied in at least one of the project partners’ study areas. The list is not exhaustive but purely indicative. Detailed presentation of the agroecological practices is available at: www.ecovinegoals.adrioninterreg.eu
