About pilot area:

As part of the Vipava Valley of Primorska, one of the three Slovenian wine growing regions. Almost half of the region is forested and a significant part is protected by NATURA 2000. Agricultural land is highly fragmented and 61% of the vineyards are steeply sloped and terraced.
